Louisville, Ky.<\/strong> (August 26, 2024) \u2013 The new leader of Louisville\u2019s largest publicly traded company will deliver the keynote address at Greater Louisville Inc.\u2019s Annual Meeting presented by Baird. Jim Rechtin, President and CEO of Humana, and Joe Ventura, Chief Legal Officer of Humana, will discuss the company\u2019s commitment and investment to Louisville, plans for future growth, and insights on the healthcare and insurance industries.<\/p>\n

\u201cHumana is a Fortune 500 company born and raised in Louisville and they are a core driver of our economy. As their business model evolves, their commitment to our region is more important than ever. I am looking forward to introducing Jim to our regional business leaders and showcasing Joe\u2019s deep ties to our community at Annual Meeting presented by Baird,\u201d said Sarah Davasher-Wisdom, President and CEO of GLI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rechtin joined Humana in January 2024, assuming his role as President and CEO in July. Under his leadership, Humana operates as a leading integrated care delivery model centered on\"\" improving health outcomes, driving lower costs, enhancing quality, and providing a simple and personalized member and patient experience. Rechtin has more than 22 years of experience in the health care industry. Prior to joining Humana, he served as President and CEO of Envision Healthcare, and President of OptumCare, part of UnitedHealth Group.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have long valued Louisville as our headquarters hometown,\u201d said Rechtin.\u00a0\u201cWe\u2019re honored to speak with the business community which has a like-minded commitment to the city\u2019s\u00a0future growth.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ventura joined Humana\u2019s Law Department in 2009 and has served in a variety of roles with increasing responsibility. He was appointed Chief Legal Officer in February 2019. He oversees Risk and Compliance across Humana, working to strengthen and improve the company\u2019s performance. Ventura resides in Louisville and serves on GLI\u2019s Board of Directors and Executive Committee. \u00a0He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Greater Louisville Foundation, serving as Chair in 2022.<\/p>\n
