<\/p>\nLouisville, KY. (December 11, 2023) \u2013 Greater Louisville Inc. (GLI) named Helen Hacker, J.D., its new director of government affairs and public policy. In her new role, Hacker will manage GLI’s six issue advisory committees and work closely with GLI\u2019s Public Policy Council to create the business community\u2019s local, state, and federal agendas. She will also work closely with state and local elected officials to advocate for pro-growth policies.<\/p>\n

Our skilled team consistently achieves big wins for the business community and helps grow our regional economy,” stated Sarah Davasher-Wisdom, President, and CEO of GLI. “We are excited to bring Helen on board and leverage her policy expertise to continue serving as the voice of the Greater Louisville business community.”<\/p>\n
Prior to joining GLI, Hacker spent two years working for the Kentucky Legislative Research Commission where she drafted legislation and supported legislative committees focused on Economic Development, Workforce Investment, Tourism, Small Business, and Information Technology. Specifically, Hacker worked with members of the Unemployment Insurance Reform Taskforce as they sought to revamp the state\u2019s system and policies. Hacker is a Louisville native with a juris doctorate from the University of Louisville and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kentucky. Hacker will report to Shelby Somervell, vice president of government affairs and communications.<\/p>\n
