(GLI) understands economic growth is inextricably linked to diversity, equity, and inclusion. In this spirit, GLI is committed to fostering a business community where all people can thrive and show up as their most authentic selves. We know that our communities are more prosperous\u2013financially, physically, and mentally\u2013when equity is achieved. <span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">We recognize there are barriers<\/span>\u00a0that have prevented Women, LGBTQ+, persons with Disabilities, Veterans, Black, Brown, and Indigenous people from moving ahead, and our work is committed to <span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">removing those barriers<\/span>\u00a0through our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. These efforts are vital for the development, sustainability, and prosperity for a more vibrant community.<\/p>\n<p>To this end, we are committed to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establishing a demonstrated top-down commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion that embraces all religions, gender identities and sexual orientations.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that employees at all levels of GLI promote the organization\u2019s vision for equity and belonging by taking actions to maintain a welcoming and inclusive workplace.<\/li>\n<li>Leading conversations about diversity, equity, and inclusion and how they impact the success and sustainability of our business community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>How GLI advocates for Economic Inclusion<\/h1>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9178 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.greaterlouisville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/About-GLI.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"297\" height=\"216\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.greaterlouisville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/About-GLI.jpg 330w, https:\/\/www.greaterlouisville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/About-GLI-300x218.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 297px) 100vw, 297px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>A Diverse &amp; Competitive Workforce<\/h4>\n<p>Kentucky will thrive most when it positively attracts and retains the best national and international human capital and talent.\u00a0To further this objective, Kentucky\u2019s primary, secondary, and postsecondary education institutions should adequately support English as a Second Language (ESL), foreign language, and global competency programs.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, state immigration regulations, public policies, and incentives in Kentucky should welcome and encourage top talent to settle in the Commonwealth. Immigration and positive domestic in-migration legislation should streamline compliance with immigration regulations for Kentucky\u2019s businesses to thrive. GLI promotes and embraces diversity, inclusion, and equality. GLI strongly opposes any discriminatory legislation or regulation that might hinder any person\u2019s desire to live and work in Kentucky.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">GLI works hard to initiate, support, and promote inclusive strategies.
