Louisville, Ky.<\/strong>\u00a0(February 22, 2023) \u2013 Greater Louisville Inc. (GLI) today hosted the first session of its inaugural Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics (AML) Fellows Program. The cohort of nine is made up of up-and-coming industry leaders who are eager to connect with industry peers, witness innovation and thought leadership they may not encounter in their daily professions, expand their leadership capacity, and improve their business acumen.<\/p>\n

The 10-month program will cover an array of topics and niche areas related to the industry including added value agriculture, automation, e-commerce, electric vehicles, aerospace, and more. The cohort will meet for monthly sessions and participants will be exposed to a variety of topics and speakers centered around advanced manufacturing and logistics. Each session will also offer opportunities for networking among the cohort and with industry leaders.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to offer this new development program for leaders in one of our region\u2019s fastest growing industries that continues to innovate and lean into forward-thinking technologies,\u201d said Sarah Davasher-Wisdom, president and CEO of GLI. \u201cAML Fellows closely models the structure of our successful and long-running Health Enterprises Network Healthcare Fellows program, which has been shaping leaders in the industry for more than 18 years. I am looking forward to working with our AML Fellows and seeing their growth in the coming year.\u201d<\/p>\n

The inaugural session was hosted at University of Louisville Innovation Center downtown and featured presentations from GLI leadership, the University of Louisville\u2019s Manufacturing Extension Partnership, and the World Trade Center. The second session will focus on the region\u2019s bourbon industry and will be hosted at Brown-Forman.<\/p>\n
